Married at First Sight on Channel 9 – Class is in session, folks!
We’re having a refresher because after 11 seasons of Married At First Sight, some of our brides and grooms still haven’t learned the dos and don’ts of Confessions Week.

Lesson 1: DO be honest and respectful of your partner’s feelings during the Photo Ranking challenge.
DON’T place your partner third while ogling over brides 20 years your junior.
Richard clearly missed that class, so we’re now witnessing his mad scramble to get things back on track with Andrea.
Andrea and Richard
“After the challenge I’m not feeling super sparkly,” Andrea admits.
While she “appreciates” Richard’s honesty, Andrea says it was a tough pill to swallow. “I’m not as special as I thought I was,” she sighs.
While he initially thought Andrea “took it well”, Richard has finally realised how much the task has affected his wife.
“I feel like a right piece of s–t,” Richard admits. As you should Richard, as you should.

But hey, we all make mistakes and Richard is here to learn and grow from them. Claps for Richard!
But if Richard is looking for a bit of a pick-me-up then he need not look any further than Jayden because the dire straits of his situation ought to make ol’ Richard feel wayyyyy better about himself.
Eden and Jayden
Jayden and his wife Eden haven’t spoken since the groom confessed that after his ex cheated on him, he requested she watch him sleep with one of her friends to make up for it.
To put the cherry on top of what was an already hard-to-swallow sundae, Jayden backed his decision by openly admitting he had “no regrets” about it.
This is the biggest alarm bell for Eden. “No matter how twisted the whole thing was… it felt like you were proud of it,” she points out to Jayden.
“I don’t know why you’d come up with that as a solution, it just blows my mind.”
EPISODE 7 RECAP: One bride is left shaken by her husband’s ‘gross’ confession and another couple make a shock return
After a bit of pushing, Jayden admits that he wouldn’t do the same thing again and we’re all relieved to hear it.
Jayden is let off with a caution from Eden who warns him that if he is unable to control his reactions or show remorse in future their days as a couple will be numbered.
The duo are on civil terms again but their future is uncertain.
“I honestly don’t know if she can forgive this,” a deflated Jayden tells cameras.
Let’s head out of the disaster zone and go see a couple we have high hopes for, shall we?
Natalie and Collins
…Or, we could go and see Natalie and Collins.
After getting married, going on a Honeymoon that had about as much romance as a boys’ camping trip, leaving the experiment in tears and re-entering the experiment, this pair are finally having a crack at being married.
Their first goal as husband and wife is to complete the Photo Ranking task and while it’s made other couples nervous, Natalie for one is keen for the pair to finally address physical attraction.
All we can say is thank God there are pictures in this task, because Collins knows none of the other brides’ names.
“Casey is lovely,” he says, plastering Cassandra’s picture on the wall. Her picture is closely followed by “Edith’s” aka Eden and then “this lady” who in day-to-day life goes by Ellie.
Natalie is feeling a little self-conscious because she claims she’s not the “typical Bondi babe” but Collins puts those nerves to rest by sending Natalie soaring to the top of the list. “Your smile and your eyes are beaming,” he builds up his wife.
“I would 100 per cent always pick Natalie,” Collins says.
But despite Collins’ best efforts, Natalie isn’t buying it and thinks it was an “easy answer” for him to give.
Even though he passed, Collins somehow still manages to fail the test.
Ellie and Ben
From one important test to another, Ellie and Ben the first couple to face the Value Ranking Challenge in which the couples must rank values such as “active lifestyle” and “good conversation” from most to least important.
So far it’s been pretty smooth sailing for Ellie and Ben so they have no qualms.

For Ellie, starting a family is a priority for her. “Family orientated” and “wants children ” shoot straight to the top of her values list.
But alarm bells go off in Ellie’s head when Ben shows off his list and those same family orientated values are much much further down the line.
All her fears are confirmed when Ben says he’s “open to not having kids”.
Well, kinda.
You see, Ben is on the fence about having kids. He’s happy to have them, doesn’t mind if he doesn’t but definitely doesn’t want them “just for the sake of having them”.
“It’s not a case of I’ll have children with anyone,” he rolls his eyes.
“There’s a man with a job and teeth, that will do. They settle,” Ben says of some people having kids these days.
Ben goes off on a weird tangent about childbearing and a pub and frankly we’re not understanding any of it.
Also not being understood is Ellie, who begins to cry after feeling like Ben isn’t listening to her.
As a single tear rolls down Ellie’s face Ben sniffs out the slightest bit of moisture in the air like a bloodhound and scolds her for being “very sensitive”.
But Ellie’s stance is clear: “If he says, ‘No I don’t want children,’ then I’m out.”
The pair half-heartedly reach a compromise and Ben decides he’d be happy to have kids because Ellie wants them.
“Kids are very important to females. I get it,” Ben sniggers. And something tells us that Ben does not in fact get it.
Lucinda and Timothy
Lucinda and Timothy aren’t having as much trouble aligning their values, basically everything matches up.
But there is one bridge to gap – and that’s the bedroom department.
Lucinda has been trying for the good part of a week now to test the waters with Timothy’s sexual boundaries but they’re on very different pages.
Timothy sums it up by saying this: “Jesus Christ, she asked me if I was keen to go to a four-day tantric sex festival up the mountains. No, I’m not keen to go.”
“I don’t want to walk around with hippies in a bush with my balls hanging out. Call me old fashioned.”

And while Lucinda can stomach the fact that she might not get Timothy to attend a four-day tantric sex festival she’s struggling with the amount of space he’s asked for.
“My feelings have been hurt,” Lucinda explains to Timothy.
“What are you doing to build romance or connection with me?”
Timothy reminds her they’re only a week-and-a-half into the experiment and he just needs her to be patient.
So far, Lucinda has been the poster girl for patience and we’re not sure what else she’s supposed to do.
Timothy has an idea for her: “Get used to it,” he snaps.
And just like that their conversation about intimacy is over… for now.
Sara and Tim
In the hopes of connecting on a deeper level, Sara and Tim tackle the Letter Writing task. And having both been cheated on, it’s a good opportunity to learn more about each other’s old wounds.
Only six months out of his previous six-year relationship, Tim admits he has some “pretty traumatic trust issues” but he’s here to work on them.
Having just opened up about how important trust is to him, the couple are tasked with another trust-building exercise – the Phone Swapping Challenge.
Faster than a rat up a drain pipe, Tim volunteers his phone as tribute. “I’m happy to share everything” he obliges, spoken like someone who truly has nothing to hide.
Sara isn’t as forthcoming. “I haven’t given you a reason not to trust me so what’s the point?” she asks.
WHAT’S THE POINT? The point, Sara, is to build trust which Tim mentioned literally five seconds ago is something he has MAJOR issues with because his ex cheated on him.
“I feel like it’s invasive” Sara doubles down.
“Interesting,” Tim sighs. And I must agree it is interesting.
But in an effort to be a “good husband” Tim decides to support his wife. “If you don’t want to do this task, I’m happy to take your word,” he tells Sara.
In all honesty thoughc, Tim “does not think that went very well”. You don’t say, Tim?
“Maybe she’s chatting to other guys? It definitely raised some question marks,” he says.
Is Sara hiding texts to guys, or is she just shy about Tim seeing the selfies that didn’t make it to the Gram? Only time will tell.
Tori and Jack
Maybe Tori and Jack are made for each other because they both let out a villain-esque cackle when they receive the Photo Ranking task in the mail.
“Put me last and I’ll suffocate you in your sleep,” Tori whispers in Jack’s ear. And well, he can’t say he hasn’t been warned.
While Tori was instantly attracted to Jack, Jack has said there is “no sexual spark” with Tori.
The experts are hoping this clears things up.
Jack rattles off his list of prerequisites in a lady as he shuffles through the brides’ photos.
“Long hair – can’t stand short hair on women – brunette over blonde and I like big boobs.”
“I could not kiss these older birds,” he quickly discards Andrea and Lucinda’s photos.
“Lauren is too tall, too loud and visually not my type.” Not to worry Jack, we don’t think Lauren is too keen on you either.
In a bizarre twist, Jack asks Tori to convince him that she’s the hottest. A second read of the instructions card and nope, this is definitely not part of the activity.
Tori proceeds to pitch herself like a suburban real estate agent and it’s a hard watch.
But despite how tight his man bun is pulled back, Jack is still getting oxygen to the brain and he knows to put Tori as his number one.
“This task has doubled down on the confirmation that Jack and I are probably a perfect match,” Tori gushes to cameras.
If you say so Tori, if you say so.
There’s plenty of couples hanging in the balance but it will be aired out at the very first Commitment Ceremony on Sunday night. See you then!

I see my previous comment has been deleted.
Yes your comments are and will be deleted. I have stated that if you wish to add constructively to television conversation then you are free to post. However, if you are going to stalk me continuously with negativity then I am not going to keep approving comments. You actually just state things that are completely untrue. 90% of content from all television blogs are either media releases or obtained from a story written from another news outlet. You have complained erroneously about these recaps. My name appears at the bottom of every article I physically publish. Most of my articles always have media release at the moment to let the audience know this is a media release. Most other publications change two sentences or add one line of commentary and then publish the release and claim as their own. I don’t. I simply call it what it is – a media release. In terms of the recaps –
1. It states: Recap is courtesy of Lauren Attard at Channel 9 (very very clearly says it is someone else’s recap)
2. It then links to the recap which contains video and other info
3. Contains another link to Channel 9’s website.
The recap has been AUTHORIZED by Channel 9. It has permission sought from both Channel publication department head and comms at Nine. The exact wording for the bottom of the recaps was agreed to and followed by Channel 9.
It cannot be any more clear than that. A human also wrote the shorter recaps that you see on other blogs every night – no contribution there that its even a media release.
You are just plain wrong with your information.
