NFL on ESPN – The playoffs are in view and the heavyweights of the NFL assemble as part of six live games in Week 15 on ESPN with the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles all in action.
Week 15 NFL begins Friday December 15 live on ESPN at 12.15pm AEDT with the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders going head-to-head.
The two AFC West combatants are both sitting at 5-8 and with work to do to spark any late season heroics.
Las Vegas are looking to turn the tide after three straight losses and a stuttering offense that failed to register a point last time out.
Monday sees a marathon of NFL with four games back-to-back, including all the top NFL contenders.
First up at 5am AEDT, the Kansas City Chiefs face the New England Patriots.
The Patriots won a thriller 21-18 over the Steelers in Week 14 to give their frustrated fans something to smile about and handing them just their third win of the season.
They will meet a Kansas City side smarting following a three-point defeat to the Bills – their second successive loss.
Kansas City still sit at the top of the AFC West, but now hold just a single game advantage over Denver below.
Also, at 5am AEDT on ESPN2, the New York Jets meet the Miami Dolphins in an AFC East divisional clash.
The Dolphins lead the division at 9-4 and in command facing a desperate Jets outfit hoping to keep slender playoff chances alive.
New York registered a crucial 30-6 win over the Texans last round, but will start major underdogs in this one, despite Miami falling 28-27 to the Titans.
Following live at 8.25am AEDT, the Dallas Cowboys clash with the Buffalo Bills LIVE on ESPN.
The Cowboys have won five in a row and claimed perhaps their most important win of the season against divisional rivals Philadelphia in Week 14.
Both Dallas and Philadelphia are now locked with identical 10-3 records and face a fight to the end of the regular season to see who claims the NFC East.
Buffalo claimed a crucial win vs. Kansas City last round and must string the victories together to continue to climb the AFC rankings and snare a wildcard spot.
Concluding Monday’s bumper NFL slate are the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars, live at 12.15pm AEDT on ESPN – two legitimate AFC conference contenders.
The Ravens look the team to beat in the AFC, holding down the #1 spot in the conference. Jacksonville sit in fourth spot, fighting alongside the Chiefs and Dolphins behind.
The Jags will be sweating the fitness of star QB Trevor Lawrence, who injured his angle a fortnight ago. The team have dropped back to back games and have decided to rush Lawrence back given the importance of the fixture.
This result will have a significant impact on the AFC playoff picture and will have the entire NFL world tuning in.
Tuesday December 19 sees the final game in NFL Week 15 where the Seattle Seahawks meet the Philadelphia Eagles in a blockbuster clash.
The NFL enacted the flexible Monday Night Football schedule to ensure the Seahawks-Eagles clash filled the marquee slot, given the high stakes in this one.
The Eagles are on the slide having dropped their last two games, including a crucial defeat to the Cowboys in Week 14 – that has seen them slide to #5 in the NFC.
Seattle meanwhile have lost four straight games, yet still have a chance to make the post-season, sitting on the playoff bubble.
