ESPN is the home of the NBL Championship Series Grand Final, where hoops fans can witness the thrilling conclusion to the 2022-23 NBL race between the Sydney Kings and New Zealand Breakers LIVE.
After losing Game One of the NBL Championship series on their home court, the Sydney Kings responded to level things at 1-1, with an 81-74 defeat of the New Zealand Breakers in Game Two on Sunday.
Attention now turns back to Sydney, with the Kings again seeing home court advantage for the pivotal third game, in front of what is expected to be a massive crowd at Qudos Bank Arena.
Game Three of the NBL Championship Series will be LIVE on ESPN this Friday March 10 at 7.30pm AEDT.
Sydney stars Derrick Walton Jr and Xavier Cooks saw limited minutes in Game Two due to injury, which meant the Kings needed to rely on their depth to record a famous victory against the odds.
Justin Simon was influential on both ends for Sydney with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 steals, while Kouat Noi provided a spark off the bench with 20 points. Sharpshooter Dejan Vasiljevic came up big in clutch moments and scored 16 points.
The Breakers struggled on the offensive end of the floor in Game Two, shooting just 36 percent from the field.
Barry Brown Jr was again New Zealand’s leading scorer with 21 points, and the Breakers star will be hoping for another crucial points haul on Friday night in Sydney.
Sydney are looking to win back to back titles for the first time since their 2003-2005 championship three-peat, with New Zealand aiming to win their fifth title since 2015.
Game Four of the NBL Grand Final series will be LIVE on ESPN at 4pm AEDT this Sunday March 12, before the deciding Game Five* on Wednesday March 15, also LIVE at 7.30pm AEDT on ESPN.
