The Nuggets emphatically swept the Los Angeles Lakers in four games to secure their berth in the NBA Finals.
That performance was a statement to the NBA and will have Denver starting as strong favorites to secure their first-ever NBA crown.
Nikola Jokic has spearheaded the Nuggets once again this season and will have a major influence over the NBA Finals.
The Miami Heat claimed the Eastern Conference Finals in a thrilling seven-game series. After initially leading 3-0, and looking like completing their own series sweep, Boston came back to tie it at 3-3, and force a decider.
Ultimately, Miami proved too strong in Game Seven on Tuesday, preventing the Celtics from writing NBA history, as the only side to win a series after being 0-3.
Now, the Heat have the chance to rewrite their own history. They’ve become just the second #8 seed to reach the NBA Finals.
After coming through the Play-In tournament, Miami have caught fire when it’s mattered most.
Miami is looking for their fourth NBA title, but first in a decade.
Whilst mission number one will be halting the impact of Nikola Jokic, Miami’s own star man Jimmy Butler has led them superbly in the post-season so far.
Butler helped the Heat to a six-game NBA Conference Semi Final series win over the New York Knicks, before downing the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
