NBA on ESPN – The Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks will clash in the best of seven NBA Finals series beginning Friday June 7 LIVE on ESPN, where Australia’s Josh Green and Dante Exum chase an NBA championship.
Eastern Conference champions Boston, led by Jayson Tatum will clash with Western Conference champion the Dallas Mavericks, with stars Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Australia’s Josh Green and Dante Exum in the 2024 NBA Finals, beginning Friday June 7 LIVE at 10.30am AEST on ESPN.
Boston Celtics claimed the Eastern Conference Championship in clinical fashion, sweeping the Indiana Pacers.
The Celtics secured a second trip to the NBA Finals in three years, and will start favourites, having lost just twice in the post-season.
Stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are in ominous form as part of the most efficient offense in NBA history.
Dallas Mavericks are chasing their first NBA championship since 2011 – their only previous triumph.
That 2011 team included current coach Jason Kidd, but the 2024 roster is led by NBA superstar Luka Doncic.
The Mavericks entered the playoffs as the fifth seed in the Western Conference, eliminating #1 Oklahoma City Thunder, #3 Minnesota Timberwolves and #4 LA Clippers on the run to the NBA Finals.
Dallas needed five games to see off the Timberwolves, as their roster depth shone with Kyrie Irving, Derrick Jones Jr and Dereck Lively II playing their part alongside Doncic.
Australia’s Josh Green and Dante Exum are expected to play important roles in the Mavericks rotation as they look to become the next local stars to taste NBA championship glory.
ESPN will provide hoops fans with the most in-depth coverage of the 2024 NBA Finals.
