NBA on ESPN draft coverage broadcast details

NBA on ESPNThe next wave of young basketball talent is set to descend on the NBA and ESPN brings more coverage than ever before from the 2023 NBA Draft, LIVE Friday June 23.

The Barclay’s Center in New York is the site of the 2023 NBA Draft, where the San Antonio Spurs hold the number one pick.

ESPN brings the 2023 NBA Draft LIVE from 9.30am AEST, with draft day coverage beginning from 5am AEST.

French sensation Victor Wembanyama leads the 2023 NBA Draft class and LeBron James has labelled the youngster as a ‘generational prospect’.

The San Antonio Spurs won the first pick following the NBA Draft Lottery and they will have no hesitation making Wembanyama their newest superstar.

Wembanyama didn’t disappoint for his French side Metropolitans 92 this season. He led his team to the finals and was named league MVP – playing every game of the campaign.

Whilst Wembanyama is a lock to be chosen number one, a handful of lottery teams have the opportunity to add a difference-making prospect, while other teams will look to strike gold on a rookie with untapped potential.

Alabama’s Brandon Miller is projected to go at number two to the Charlotte Hornets, but G League Ignite Guard Scoot Henderson is also a contender.

Villanova’s Carn Whitmore and twins Amen and Ausar Thompson are other rookie talents that could land in the top five of the 2023 NBA Draft.

ESPN will bring in-depth previews and draft analysis from the likes of Malika Andrews, Adrian Wojnarowski, Jay Bilas, JJ Redick, Bobby Marks, Andraya Carter and Monica McNutt.

NBA Today will host a live NBA Draft Red Carpet special, showcasing all the glamour from the NBA rookie class, from 7am AEST Friday.

Australia and New Zealand hoops fans will have added reason to cast a close eye on the 2023 Draft.

New Zealand Breakers’ Rayan Rupert is projected to fall at the midway point of the first round.

Former NBL Next Star Mojave King has also been tipped to win selection in the late second round, after moving to the G-League Ignite, following a similar pathway to current Australian NBA star Dyson Daniels.
