BBC highlights for the month of March include Beyond Paradise, Sanditon, Father Brown, Midsomer Murders, Richard Osman House of Games, Louis Theroux: Forbidden America, Wildlife Wednesdays, Supertato and My Pet & Me Teeny Tiny Creatures.

Beyond Paradise

Australian Premiere

Saturdays at 8.30pm from March 4

Available on Foxtel On Demand and Binge

Starring: Kris Marshall & Sally Bretton

6 x 60′

This spin-off from the phenomenally popular Death in Paradise follows DI Humphrey Goodman and his fiancée, Martha, as they leave London to start a new life on the Devon coast.

Seeking a quieter life away from the stress of the city, Humphrey (Marshall) has taken a job as a Detective Inspector in fiancée Martha’s (Bretton) hometown. However, they soon find that country life is anything but peaceful and Humphrey can’t help but be distracted by the town’s surprisingly high crime rate with a new, and very different, case challenging him and the team each week. The not-so-sleepy town of Shipton Abbott will be rocked by an entire family disappearing without a trace, a woman claiming she was attacked by a suspect from the seventeenth century, the robbery of a highly prized painting, a body bizarrely discovered in a crop circle and a serial arsonist with a seeming distaste for local businesses. As Humphrey gets stuck into his new job, he and Martha must also navigate life’s ups and downs, as faces from the past, the decisions they make and the challenges of setting up life in a new town put their relationship to the ultimate test yet.

Cast includes Zahra Ahmadi, Dylan Llewellyn, Felicity Montagu amd Nina Singh.

Sanditon – Series 3

Australian Premiere

Wednesdays at 8.30pm from March 22

Starring: Rose Williams, Kris Marshall & Crystal Clarke

6 x 60′

The hugely popular period drama based on Jane Austen’s unfinished story returns. Can a now engaged Charlotte come to terms with her feelings for Colbourne?

When Charlotte returns to Sanditon with her fiancé in tow, she’s forced to confront her feelings for Colbourne. Can the two keep ignoring their mutual attraction? Meanwhile, Georgiana battles in court to protect her newfound inheritance and the public scrutiny sends her spiralling out of control. Lady Denham rediscovers an old flame from her youth and Edward insists that he’s a new and reformed man – but will Augusta Markham’s fortune be too irresistible a proposition? With a flurry of weddings and failed engagements, will the Sanditon residents find true love and happiness after all?

Cast includes Anne Reid, Kate Ashfield, Jack Fox, Lily Sacofsky and Rosie Graham.

He meets the rappers striving for glory, those who have risen fast and those who have fallen hard. And as the porn industry grapples with its own MeToo movement, he meets the accused and the accusers. Is justice being handed out fairly?

Wildlife Wednesdays (PG)

Australian Premieres

Wednesdays at 7.30pm from March 1

7 x 60′

Join BBC Earth each Wednesday during March as we showcase an award-winning strand of nature documentaries which bring stories of incredible animal and locations to your screens. These films feature great animal characters and often the filmmakers, vets and researches who have dedicated their lives to their care. Nature’s Biggest Beasts – Nature’s biggest beasts must go to extraordinary lengths to thrive. These are their epic survival stories.

Owls – Behind the Magic – Through the eyes of two special barn owl chicks and with the help of world leading scientists, Natural World reveals the magic behind owls’ super powers.
