ICC and Amazon Announce a Four-Year Deal for Prime Video to Be the Home of ICC Cricket in Australia

ICC and Amazon Announce a Four-Year Deal for Prime Video to Be the Home of ICC Cricket in Australia – The International Cricket Council (ICC) and Prime Video today announced a four-year deal to provide exclusive live broadcast rights in Australia for ICC cricket, which will be available on Prime Video Australia.

The partnership will see Prime Video Australia exclusively stream all men’s and women’s events, including the Men’s and Women’s Cricket World Cups, T20 World Cups, Champions Trophy, U19s and the World Test Championship Final. The deal includes streaming rights in Australia for 448 live games from 2024 to 2027.

The deal follows the success of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 which broke a number of records culminating in Australia lifting the trophy. The biggest Cricket World Cup ever set new records for in-stadium attendance and broadcast viewership, whilst becoming the most digitally engaged event to date, showcasing that the appetite and demand for World Cup cricket is bigger than ever.

The new partnership, which begins in January 2024, will give cricket fans across Australia exclusive access to all matches in every tournament of elite ICC competition in all cricket formats, at no extra cost to a Prime membership.

Prime Video is a premier entertainment destination where millions of viewers around the world can enjoy their favorite content and has demonstrated its commitment to delivering premier sports viewing to Australian audiences through a series of acclaimed documentaries.  These include the Test S1-2, Making Their Mark, Shane, Warriors on the Field, and Kick Like Tayla.   

Since 2019, Prime Video has commissioned 28 Amazon Original series in Australia—The Test S1-S3, LOL: Last One Laughing Australia with Rebel Wilson, Back to the Rafters, Luxe Listings Sydney S1 – S3, award-winning, feature-length documentary Burning, Head Above Water, Class of ’07, Deadloch, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, The Moth Effect, the lifestyle special Hugh van Cuylenburg: G.E.M, along with a series of ten stand-up comedy specials, Hot Potato: The Story of the Wiggles, Neighbours, theupcoming Five Blind Dates, Dance Life, The Office,and The Narrow Road to the Deep North.
