Max is now live in Australia – Max, the premier streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery is officially live in Australia. Bringing together HBO’s can’t-miss programming, Warner Bros.’ most-loved films and series, Discovery’s engaging real-life entertainment, and the best of fan-favourite collections and more, Australians can now enjoy thousands of hours of premium entertainment from iconic global brands in one new streaming home.

Max will bring local fans exclusive access to season two of the worldwide hit series The Last of Us on April 14. Premium HBO Originals available to stream from today include The White Lotus, Euphoria, House of the Dragon, Succession and The Penguin, as well as Max Originals And Just Like That…, and The Pitt. Upcoming premieres over the coming months include brand new HBO and Max Originals such as Duster, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and IT: Welcome to Derry.

Subscribers also have access to Hollywood hits like Barbie, Wonka, Twisters and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, TCM classics including Gone with the Wind and Casablanca and the full movie collections of Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings, as well as films from the DC Universe. Fan favourites like Friends, The Big Bang Theory and Rick and Morty live alongside hit Discovery content including Aussie Gold Hunters, Outback Opal Hunters and Deadliest Catch, while subscribers can also enjoy reality hits such as 90 Day Fiancé, Say Yes to The Dress and Naked and Afraid. For kids and families, Max offers an extensive selection of titles, including loved characters from Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes, Cartoon Network and more.

JB Perrette, CEO and President of Global Streaming & Games at Warner Bros. Discovery, said:

“The launch of Max in Australia continues our exciting global expansion. While the Max brand may be new to Australians, the programming engines at the heart of it – including HBO, Discovery, Warner Bros., Harry Potter, the DC universe – are already loved by audiences here. Now for the first time, these brands come together alongside additional premium content from WBD’s portfolio, to offer a distinct streaming proposition for local fans.”

James Gibbons, President, APAC at Warner Bros. Discovery added:

“From the world’s most talked about series, iconic franchises and hit blockbuster movies to compelling factual programming, reality favourites and kids’ content, Max offers thousands of hours of premium entertainment in one new streaming home. With three different pricing plans, broad device capability, and several distribution partners for maximum reach, our deep vault of content has never been more accessible for Australians.”

Max is available via three plans: Basic With Ads, Standard and Premium. A special introductory promotional price on all plans is available for subscribers who sign up by 30 April 2025, valid for the first 12 months of subscription.

See www.max.com for terms. The Basic With Ads plan allows subscribers to stream on two devices at once with full HD resolution, the Standard plan allows subscribers to stream on two devices at once with full HD resolution and up to 30 downloads for offline viewing, and the Premium plan allows subscribers to stream on four devices at once with 4K UHD and Dolby Atmos (as available) and enjoy up to 100 downloads for offline viewing (limits apply). For full details on plans and pricing visit www.max.com.

Max provides a consumer-centric streaming experience, where subscribers can create their profiles and receive personalised recommendations based on viewing habits. Profiles can also be created for kids, curated with age-appropriate content and parental controls for kid-friendly viewing. Finding content on Max is made easy with the intuitive search function, while subscribers can also save their favourite content, pick up where they left off with Continue Watching or download to watch on the go (subject to your subscription plan).

Max is available for subscription at www.max.com and is viewable on major devices such as mobiles, tablets, gaming consoles and connected TVs. Visit www.max.com for further information and to sign up for news about Max.
