Boy Swallows Universe on Netflix shines at the 2024 Logie Awards – the Netflix Series BOY SWALLOWS UNIVERSE swept the 64th Annual TV Week Logie Awards at The Star, Sydney, taking home five awards in total including Best Miniseries or Telemovie, Best Actor, Best New Talent, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.
Felix Cameron took home awards for both Best Actor and Best New Talent, making him the youngest dual Logies winner ever. Other Netflix stars winners includes Bryan Brown for Best Supporting Actor and Sophie Wilde for Best Supporting Actress for their performances in Boy Swallows Universe.
Boy Swallows Universe which dominated streaming charts when it released in January this year.
The series, hailed as a “one-of-a-kind Australian period piece” (Luke Buckmaster, Guardian Australia), hit the Netflix Weekly Top 10 in 52 countries including #1 in Australia, #4 in the UK and #6 in the USA.
Representing Boy Swallows Universe were series stars Felix Cameron and Lee Tiger Halley, alongside Trent Dalton, whose bestselling book the series is based on, series Director Bharat Nalluri and Producers Andrew Mason and Troy Lum.
Asher Yasbincek (Heartbreak High), Sam Corlett (Territory), Mia Challis (Outer Banks) and the Netflix ANZ Director of Content, Que Minh Luu were also in attendance.
As the most nominated and awarded streamer at the Logies, the night was the perfect celebration of Netflix’s commitment to Australian films and series. Netflix’s next major Australian drama, Territory, premieres October 24. Additional upcoming titles include Apple Cider Vinegar, The Survivors, Son of a Donkey and Heartbreak High Season 3.
