Billy the Kid on Stan – Stan today announced the trailer, first look images and premiere date for the brand new episodes of Billy the Kid S2, premiering June 3, same day as the U.S., only on Stan.
Starring Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) and Australian actor Daniel Webber (Escape from Pretoria) as outlaws on the American frontier.
Billy the Kid is an epic romantic adventure based on the life of Billy the Kid, also known as William H. Bonney — from his humble Irish roots and his early days as a cowboy and gunslinger in the American frontier, to his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War and beyond.
In season two, Billy gets caught in the middle of the Lincoln County War, a murderous conflict driven by money, greed and corruption. After enjoying a monopoly, Murphy’s Store is no longer the only player in town when Englishman John Tunstall moves to Lincoln and sets off a commercial rivalry. Law-and-order is no match for cowboy gangs and a secret society. Wild chases and shootouts abound. There are innumerable ambushes and killings. No-one is safe. After a pivotal assassination, things get very ugly, leaving Billy the Kid with an uncertain fate. Will he make it out of the Lincoln County War alive?
Season two of Billy the Kid also stars Alex Roe as Pat Garrett, Sean Owen Roberts as Bob Olinger, Ian Tracey as Frank Baker, Horatio James as Charlie, Nuria Vega as Dulcinea, and Linus Roache as Tunstall.
Creator, writer and executive producer Michael Hirst returns for the second season alongside executive producers Donald De Line (De Line Pictures), Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey (Amblin Television).
