ANZAC Day on Seven – Sunrise presents iconic ANZAC Day Dawn Service live from Currumbin Beach
Australia’s #1 breakfast television show Sunrise makes its annual pilgrimage to the Gold Coast this week to pay tribute to our brave servicemen and women with a special extended broadcast for ANZAC Day.
Live from 4.50am tomorrow on Channel 7 and 7plus, Sunrise presents the iconic ANZAC Day Dawn Service from the breathtaking backdrop of Elephant Rock at Currumbin Beach.
Together with veterans and their families at the Vikings Surf Life Saving Club, Natalie Barr, Matt Shirvington and the rest of the Sunrise team will be there as the nation honours those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
The moving dawn service will be followed by a special extended edition of Sunrise, with reporters stationed at commemorative events around the country, as well as in Gallipoli and Villers-Bretonneux.
Special guests include Australian Idol winner Dylan Wright, who will capture the spirit of the nation in song with two heartfelt performances.

Matt Shirvington said:
“This will be my first time taking part in the Currumbin Dawn Service, and I can already feel a sense of reflection, respect and pride just thinking about it. What an honour to be able to bring this incredibly moving ceremony from Elephant Rock to the rest of Australia with our special Sunrise broadcast.”
