ANZAC Day football on Seven ratings – ANZAC Day blockbuster takes the mark. Up 18% on 2022 ANZAC Day match, 2.19 million reach.
The iconic ANZAC Day AFL showdown between arch-rivals Essendon and Collingwood was a hit with footy fans again this year across the screens of the Seven Network.
Broadcast live and free on Channel 7 and 7mate, Collingwood’s thrilling 13-point victory over Essendon reached 2.19 million viewers nationally.
The game peaked at 1.26 million viewers nationally and averaged 949,000 viewers, up 18% on the 2022 ANZAC Day clash and up 49% on the 2022 AFL Regular season average.
Played in front of a 95,000-strong crowd at the hallowed MCG, the game dominated TV viewing in the teams’ hometown, ranking as the #1 program in Melbourne in people 25 to 54 and 16 to 39.
The nail-biting contest helped Seven secure a massive daytime network share of 50.2%.
