Asif Syed has been working as an interpreter since escaping Afghanistan, attempting to help other refugees who weren’t as fortunate.
And Marty Baines, isolated and vulnerable due to his autism, is drawn in by the most hateful aspects of online culture, even as he tries to care for his homebound mother.
The team discover Asif, Mel, and Marty’s connections to Gerry, and bring Marty in. Gerry Cooper’s descent into nationalism is revealed, as well as his violent streak. Jess reaches out to her sister, as Leanne and Sunny’s friendship evolves.
