Compass – Goodbye My Dog on ABC – We adore our dogs so much, that when we lose them, the grief can run deep. But mourning the loss of a pet, as opposed to a human, is still a disenfranchised grief in today’s society.
Comments like “It’s only a dog” or “Just get another cat” can feel hurtful and isolating.
Compass follows three families’ final days with their beloved dogs and explores this very particular type of heartbreak.
