Tonight | Australia’s Wild Odyssey on ABC

Following the rainfall from the Pacific Ocean to central Australia, we reveal the intricate web of connectivity that connects distant ecosystems – from snowy mountains and coastal forests, to red deserts and outback plains.

Australia’s Wild Odyssey follows the flow of water across the Australian continent to uncover the incredible connections that link all creatures on earth.

Over three dynamic episodes, this wildlife series sets out on a journey across the driest inhabited continent – following the rain, rivers and underground aquifers as they transform and connect distant ecosystems. Each stop on the journey reveals a new piece of the ecological puzzle that allows life on earth to thrive.

The series carries the viewer on three continental journeys through Australia’s wildest landscapes in search of answers to the most fundamental questions: What makes life possible, and how does it all work?

In episode two, rain connects coastal forests to the arid interior of the continent, triggering a journey that reveals the incredible network of connectivity that drives these ecosystems.
