The Pacific on ABC Australia – The groundbreaking 30-minute pan-Pacific news program is back on ABC Australia, covering the stories that matter most to the region.
Launched earlier this year, The Pacific returns to its weekly slot from Thursday 3 August at 7:00 PM AEST, available to Pacific audiences on ABC Australia and ABC Pacific Facebook. Audiences in Australia can watch it on ABC iview, ABCTV and the ABC News Channel.
The Pacific Season 2 will deliver the latest in Pacific news, sport, politics and entertainment. ABC reporter Johnson Raela returns as host and is joined by new co-host Alice Lolohea and a team of correspondents with deep regional expertise including Evan Wasuka and Tahlea Aualiitia, Lice Movono in Suva, Fiji, Chrisnrita Aumanu-Leong in Honiara, Solomon Islands, and Marian Kapu in Nuku’Alofa, Tonga.

Our network of international correspondents on the ground throughout the region is what I call our ‘superpower’ because their insights into local issues ensure we are telling stories from a lived Pacific perspective.”

The Pacific is a flagship offering from the ABC which is expanding its international services across the Indo-Pacific region under additional funding provided by the Australian Government.

INTERNATIONALLY: The Pacific Season 2 will premiere on ABC Australia on Thursday 3 August at 7:00PM AEST, 5:00PM in Singapore, 7:00PM in Papua New Guinea, 8:00PM in Solomon Islands and 10:00PM in Samoa. It will also be available on ABC Pacific Facebook.
In AUSTRALIA: From Thursday 3 August, The Pacific will be available from 7:00PM AEST on ABC iview, at 9.30 PM AEST on ABC NEWS Channel and at 10:30AM AEST on Friday mornings on ABCTV.
