Spooky Files on ABC Entertains returns for season 2 – The ABC is thrilled to announce brand new episodes of popular adventure comedy series, Spooky Files.

Returning with a super fun second season on Friday, 4 October, the new episodes and season one will be available to stream on ABC iview from 6.00am. Season two will also air in the dedicated kids zone on ABC Entertains weekdays from Monday, 28 October at 8.10am.

In the new season, the Spooky Crew is back in business when the original Spooky – Chaos – suddenly turns up and a bunch of new Spookies start appearing.

As well as defending Sunny Valley from Spooky mayhem, the crew has to work out where Chaos has been for the last six months, how the portal reopened, and why all the Spookies are refusing to go home.  It’s a lot – especially when the end of the school year is looming, a new baby is on the way, and the Johns have taken over Spooky HQ!

With more Spookies, a new crew member and bigger mysteries to solve, there are surprises, fun and frights ahead.

The Spooky Crew use all their wits and courage to keep the Spookies hidden, find out more about the Fear Dimension, and face the biggest, baddest Spooky of them all. Will the Crew triumph before some of them stop seeing Spookies forever?

Returning from Season One, are International Emmy award-winning creators and writers Guy Edmonds and Matt Zeremes (Hardball), working alongside producer Paul Watters and Executive Producers Andrea Denholm and Tony Ayres for Tony Ayres Productions.  Guy and Matt are joined on the writing team by Marisa Nanakhorn Brown, Emma Gordon, Clem Bastow, Tim Williams, Alexander Andreotti and Andrea Denholm.

Sarah Hickey (Crazy Fun Park), joins returning directors Letitia Cáceres, Matt Zeremes and Guy Edmonds.

The original Spooky Crew cast are all back for Season Two; Thomas Saddler as Bert, Alberta Brudan as Xena, Audrey Salinas as Billie, and Lennox Lee as Derek. Mila Hourmouzis joins the lead cast as the newest member of the Spooky Crew, Backpack Jess, after making her screen acting debut in season one.

Joining them is a terrific ensemble of familiar faces led by Guy Edmonds and Matt Zeremes as John and Jon, and supported by Mina Annan as Robina, Rebecca Bower (Bad Mothers) as Jane, Mario Setyana (La Brea) as Ed, HaiHa Le (Boy Swallows Universe) as Ms Norris plus Michala Banas (Gold Diggers), Bert La Bonté (Five Bedrooms) and John Leary (The Newsreader).

Always free and Always entertaining, discover season one of Spooky Files on ABC iview now.
