Recap | Farmer Wants a Wife on Channel 7 S15E9 – “Yeah, I think Clarette can get jealous”. Farmer Thomas’ shock admission wounds Clarette
Tonight on Farmer Wants A Wife: Chemistry and compatibility were put to the test in a series of intimacy exercises that left Clarette furious after Farmer Thomas branded her “jealous” and placed Chloe unexpectedly in the spotlight with Farmer Corery.
Designed to test true compatibility, host Natalie Gruzlewski put the farmers and their ladies through a series of relationship tests. At the end of the tests, each farmer invited the lady they felt most compatible with on a special one-on-one date.
On Corey’s farm, Chloe, Annie, Keeley and Jadee were asked to name their “love language” in the hope of matching with their farmer. Chloe accused Jadee of cheating, saying she chose her answer of physical touch solely to align with Corey.
“I was honest with all of my questions and it really it pissed me off. Like, how does she know?”
– asked Jadee.
“She (Chloe) doesn’t know me from a bar of soap. There’s no point in lying, I’d be setting myself up for failure anyway.”
For the second exercise of the day, the farmers were blindfolded and one by one, each lady had a two-minute window to put their physical intimacy to the test.
On Thomas’ farm, there was a shared uneasiness about the task, particularly for the ladies having to watch Clarette with Thomas, given their strong connection.
“I don’t like watching, it feels wrong,”
– said Rachael.
“It’s very strange watching other women be intimate with Farmer Thomas.”
For the third and final relationship exercise, the ladies were asked to be candid and write down their true feelings – good and bad – about potentially moving to the farm.
Farmer Tom was thrilled to hear about Georgie’s love of farm life and her willingness to relocate to build their relationship. “My dream scenario is here. I can definitely see myself living out on the farm here with Tom. It’s just the best. I love it!” shared Georgie.
With the knowledge and insights gathered from the exercises, the farmers announced their solo dates: Farmer Thomas—Rachael, Farmer Corey—Chloe and Farmer Tom—Georgie.
After the romantic solo dates, the farmers and ladies gathered for an honesty dinner – a night of hard-hitting anonymous questions asked around the table.
As the questions were handed around, a nervous Thomas stumbled when asked to list the non-physical qualities he liked about Clarette. He barely recovered before announcing the thing he liked least about Clarette was her jealousy.
“I meant that as a positive, but the way it came out of my mouth, I think it was a negative,”
– explained Thomas.
“I meant to say that, yeah, I think Clarette can get jealous, but I guess that’s only because she cares, and I didn’t finish off that properly.”
In a piece to camera, Clarette argued that if she were the jealous type, she wouldn’t be putting herself in this situation. She wondered if Thomas would be as accommodating if the roles were reversed, saying, “I need him to understand that it really hurt me.”
The honesty dinner on Tom’s farm prompted two shock departures. Emily decided to leave, not feeling a strong connection with Tom. In a shock twist, Tom then asked Maddy to leave the farm.
“If I am to be honest, Maddy, I just feel the connection isn’t quite strong enough. I don’t want to waste your time because you’re such a lovely lady and you deserve to find happiness,”
– said Tom, explaining his decision.
