JOHANNA – LUNE’S FORMULA FOR SUCCESS
Imagine creating pastries so good, people will queue hundreds of metres for one. That’s what the queen of croissants, Kate Reid did. The former Formula One engineer and self-confessed perfectionist founded Lune Croissanterie over 10 years ago and her pastries quickly became the stuff of legend…the New York Times even said her croissants “may be the finest you will find anywhere in the world”. Johanna’s meeting up with Kate to learn her secrets to sweet success.
COLIN – PORK BELLY BANH MI
Forget fancy restaurants, the best food is found on the streets and this week Colin’s making his favourite street food of all time: Banh Mi. The thing that really takes this dish to the next level is Colin’s homemade pâté, which is way easier to make than you might think. Combined with crispy pork, salad and a chilli vinaigrette, then served in a crusty bread roll, banh mi has never tasted so good.
DR HARRY – NAUGHTY NELLI (BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG HOUSE CALL)
When you live with a 40kg toddler who gets into everything, your house becomes a total disaster zone. At least, that’s what life is like for the Howell family, whose 17-month-old Bernese Mountain dog, Nelli, is causing all sorts of trouble. Naughty Nelli loves to steal food off the kitchen bench, tear up toilet rolls and swallow things she shouldn’t, like TV remotes, shoes, and furniture…and as a result, Nelli’s needed two emergency surgeries in the past year. Can Dr Harry tame Nelli’s appetite for destruction before she’s eaten her way through the entire house?
CHARLIE – A KEEN CACTI COLLECTOR
What happens when your hobby becomes a total obsession? George Moujalli started growing cacti over 20 years ago and fell head over heels for them. He’s turned his love affair into a thriving business, which he runs out of his home. Charlie’s visiting George to check out his amazing garden as well as his massive cacti collection, which runs into the thousands.
ADAM – THE POWER BEHIND THE BROKEN STAIRS
There are so many benefits to living in a rural area or close to nature. But there are also a few drawbacks…as Adam is about to find out. He’s at a riverside cabin which has seen its fair share of rain and flooding and has spotty power to boot. Luckily, he’s testing out a portable power station which will not only help with electricity inside the cabin, but it’ll also power his tools, too! And with his tools sorted, Adam’s showing us how to repair the water-damaged cabin stairs – and it’s an easier job than you might think.

MELISSA – A CAMELLIA FOR EVERY SITUATION
Elegant, timeless and charming, camellias bring colour to your garden during the colder months when it really needs it…what’s not to love? This week, Melissa’s visiting Rhodo Glen Nurseries, which specialises in this very versatile plant. No matter whether you’re looking for a hedge, groundcover or a potted masterpiece, there is a camellia to suit…and Melissa’s sharing some of her favourite varieties.
JULIET – EMERGING ART (BUTTERFLY COLLAGE)
All parents will know that young kids create a lot of artwork. More often than not, the sheer volume means you store it away…or get rid of it. But what if there was an alternative? Juliet’s sharing a sweet idea to turn these miniature masterpieces into 3D butterfly art, which you can display on your wall and keep forever.
GRAHAM – GARDENING IS GOOD FOR THE BODY & MIND
Graham’s visiting a communal garden in Sydney’s western suburbs to meet the members behind its productive plots. These gardeners get involved not only for the fresh produce, but the ability to bring community together and for the many benefits gardening provides. Gardening is a great way to maintain your health and independence as you get older, so Graham’s sharing his top tips to get you started in the garden and to keep you motivated as the years roll by.
