With the Paralympics, US Open, the NRL & AFL finals, and a World Cup soccer qualifier game, week 36 highlighted the importance of live and free sport on Free To Air television. The 9Network’s key performance highlights are as follows:

  • The 9Network was No. 1 in Week 36 with People 16-39, recording the following Broadcast TV primetime shares across the 5 City Metro:
    • People 25-54: 38.79%
    • People 16-39: 40.79%   
    • Grocery Shopper 18+: 37.48%  
    • Total People: 37.78% 
  • 9Now was No. 1 in Week 36 with all key demos and Total People, recording the following CFTA shares across Australia (measured across the entire day):
    • People 25-54: 46.11% 
    • People 16-39: 47.87% 
    • Grocery Shopper 18+: 44.68%  
    • Total People: 44.95% 
  • The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony is Monday morning capping off several weeks of sport that has captivated Australians. As of Friday, the Paralympics has reached a total of 8.9 million viewers across Channel 9, 9Gem & 9Now, with BVOD providing 13% incremental reach.    
  • The Block took out the Top 4 programs of the week with People 25-54 and 16-39.
  • Sunday’s episode of The Block was Australia’s No. 1 program of the week with Total People. To date, it has recorded a National Total TV average audience of 1.467 million.
