Australian global media and content monetisation company VA Media is launching a full month of wild, intense, sometimes outrageous (and always FREE) shark-centric movies on their owned-and-operated YouTube channel, Movie Central.
Looking into audience insights on the Movie Central channel, shark-centric movies are actively sought after by viewers, particularly among young adults aged 25-34. Shark movies are twice as likely to be found through search and hold audience attention significantly longer than other content available on the channel.
Boasting a whopping 6.06M subscribers globally, Movie Central is one of the fastest growing movie channels on YouTube, offering FREE, full-length shark action movies with new titles being added to the Shark Month playlist weekly throughout July.
The playlist will offer something for everyone, whether that’s just 10 suspense-filled minutes of Blake Lively’s final shark fight in The Shallows; the binge worthy sci-fi Mega Shark franchise including Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, Mega Shark vs Mecha Shark, Mega Shark vs Kolossus, and Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus; or a mockumentary like Sharknado: Heart of Sharkness.
