Raw Comedy 2024 on SBS Viceland and SBS on Demand – Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s RAW Comedy is the largest and longest running national open mic competition in Australia.
Celebrating the freshest and funniest new talent from around the country, the 2024 final was hosted by triple j’s effervescent Concetta Caristo with the top 12 competing to win the RAW Comedy crown.
The 2024 RAW Comedy national finalists are Aaqib Merchant (VIC), Cam Muratore (VIC), Dylan Murphy (VIC), Jaimeson Gilders (QLD), Jazz Bing (WA), Kiyanosh Sashebi (NSW), Nathan Chin (NSW), Omar Gad (NT), Stella Kappos (SA), Stella Wu (NSW), Stephanie Hare (TAS) and Suma Iyer (ACT).
For 29 years RAW Comedy has been discovering the newest voices in Australian comedy and boasts some of the country’s favourite comedians amongst its alumni including Hannah Gadsby, Ronny Chieng, Celia Pacquola, Matt Okine, Anne Edmonds, Luke McGregor, Becky Lucas, Aaron Chen, Claire Hooper and Josh Thomas.
Raw Comedy 2024 will be available to stream free on SBS On Demand.
