About the Show
The TV Week Logie award-winning comedy quiz show, Have You Been Paying Attention?, returns for its twelfth season! In this season, the show continues to transform headlines into punchlines. It pits five well-known and well-informed news watchers against one another to see just how much they’ve been paying attention.
Join host Tom Gleisner, regular contestants Ed Kavalee and Sam Pang, and some of the biggest names in comedy and entertainment. They provide a fast and funny look at the past week’s news. Together, they cover the who, why, when, and where of a busy week.
Regular Segments
Firstly, there are General Questions. This segment features news events from the past week grouped into the categories of Showbiz or Sport.
Additionally, Guest Quizmasters make an appearance. Once, or occasionally twice, per episode, a guest quizmaster (often a sportsperson or TV personality) joins to ask a series of questions, usually related to the guest in some way.
Furthermore, the show includes Animal News, featuring amusing news events involving animals.
Each contestant then faces an Individual Test. During this segment, each contestant is asked an individual question, often with two possible answers.
Finally, the show concludes with Rapid Recall. In this final round, contestants must answer as quickly as possible since the segment is timed. Notably, this is the only segment during which the scores are not readily shown.
