Review | Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers on 10 and Paramount+ – Cancel your plans, because The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers is back — and it’s absolutely, side-splittingly hilarious.
Now in its third season, this chaos-fuelled series featuring Dom, Jack, Liam, and Falcon returns with a brand-new batch of pranks, punishments, and public humiliation — and somehow, the boys have managed to outdo themselves. It’s the funniest show on Australian television right now. Hands down.
The premiere episode kicks things off with a challenge that perfectly sums up the show’s genius: each boy must walk into a restaurant, sit down at a random table of unsuspecting diners, and talk their way into staying there — without the people at the table asking them to leave.
The social awkwardness is off the charts, and the results are comedy gold. From bizarre backstories to painfully committed small talk, the boys will do anything to avoid rejection — and viewers will be crying with laughter.
Then there’s an oddball ballroom dancing class, where the boys unleash their signature chaos — but instead of backlash, the class surprisingly embraces the antics. It’s awkward, unpredictable, and somehow… heartwarming?
But the big showstopper is a genius tie-in with 10’s football coverage, where Jack is thrown into a high-stakes halftime stunt with the Subway Socceroos. It’s easily one of the most extreme punishments yet. As someone who’s always thought, “Sure, I’d do most of these pranks — why not, I’m getting paid?” this one made me wince. It’s wild. It’s public. And it’s absolutely brilliant.
The Inspired Unemployed’s chemistry is what elevates the show — they’re real-life best mates pushing each other to the brink, and their reactions are often funnier than the pranks themselves. You can’t fake that kind of bond, and it’s a big part of why this show works so well.
With only eight episodes per season, fans will no doubt be left wanting more. But now in a perfect time slot following Have You Been Paying Attention?, Monday nights on 10 are officially must-see TV.
Verdict: Outrageously funny, painfully awkward, and packed with jaw-dropping moments — Season 3 of The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers is pure comedy gold. We’re so glad the boys are back.
