Neighbours on 10 welcomes Mischa Barton – From The O.C. To Ramsay Street. Mischa Barton Joins The Cast Of Neighbours In An Extended Guest Role.
International film and television star, Mischa Barton, is swapping California for Erinsborough, to join the residents of Ramsay Street in an extended guest role on Neighbours.
Mischa will portray the character of Reece, an American new to Erinsborough who’s not quite who she appears to be.
From living the teenage dream in The O.C, to sending shivers down our spines in The Sixth Sense, working alongside Hollywood royalty in Notting Hill to the glitz and glamour of The Hills: New Beginnings, Mischa’s extensive film and television career spans more than two decades.
Neighbours’ Executive Producer, Jason Herbison said:
“We are beyond excited to have an actor of Mischa’s calibre join us for the beginning of this exciting new chapter. Mischa’s character is dynamic and unpredictable, and will have an instant presence on Ramsay Street.”

The British-American actress is set to make her on screen debut in the street where good neighbours become good friends, when the revitalised series of Neighbours airs later this year.
Neighbours will continue to be broadcast in Australia on Network 10, its home for over three decades. UK and U.S. audiences can view the series on Amazon Freevee plus Prime Video in Australia and New Zealand seven days following free to air viewing on Network 10.

Today, Amazon Freevee, Prime Video and Fremantle announced a new character will be joining Ramsay Street in the upcoming season of Neighbours. Mischa Barton (The O.C., Invitation to a Murder) joins the cast as a guest star, playing Reece, an American new to Erinsborough who’s not quite who she appears to be.

Mischa Barton is a versatile actress with a passion for storytelling and an impressive career spanning over two decades. Born in London, England, Barton quickly made her mark in the entertainment industry with her debut film role in Lawn Dogs. From there, she continued to showcase her versatility in a variety of film and television projects, including the hit supernatural thriller The Sixth Sense and the critically acclaimed drama series Once and Again.
However, it was her iconic role as Marissa Cooper in the hit television series The O.C. that truly launched Barton to superstardom. The new chapter of Neighbours officially started production yesterday in Melbourne and will launch later this year.
The continuation of the long-running soap series—about the lives, loves, and challenges of the residents on Ramsay Street in Erinsborough—follows the finale in 2022, which was watched by millions of adoring fans.
The revitalised series will premiere for free, exclusively on Amazon Freevee in the UK and U.S and will also stream on Prime Video in Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia and episodes will be available ad free on Prime Video in Australia seven days later. Previous seasons of Neighbours, as well as many iconic episodes, are currently available to stream on Prime Video Australia.
Neighbours ran for more than three decades, garnering fans across the globe and launching the careers of many household names, such as Margot Robbie, Kylie Minogue, Guy Pearce, and Russell Crowe. Neighbours is produced by Fremantle.
