Aislin Kriukelis joins 9News Queensland – TODAY Show Queensland reporter Aislin Kriukelis will now connect with her loyal morning viewers in the afternoon as she joins the 9News Queensland 4.00pm bulletin.
Kriukelis will present the afternoon news on Mondays and Tuesdays before handing viewers over to Alison Ariotti for the remainder of the week, keeping Queenslanders up to date with the most trusted news and previewing the big stories featuring later in the leading 6.00pm Queensland news bulletin.
This appointment is another accolade in Kriukelis’ impressive media career spanning nearly 20 years, which has seen her cover the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, report on Royal tours around Australia and New Zealand, secure a national news, sport and weather presenting role on the TODAY Show, and win local and national media gongs.
She said:
“I love what it means to be a Queenslander. From the sunshine to the sporting teams, our passionate people to our picture-perfect places, there really is nowhere else I’d rather call home.
“I’m already lucky enough to have a front-row seat to the stories that make up this great state, sharing them with the rest of the country, so now fostering an even more intimate connection and spending quality time with Queenslanders in the afternoon is the absolute dream.”
Nine Queensland Director of News, Amanda Paterson, said:
“Aislin has been an integral part of our newsroom for over a decade, so we’re no strangers to her expertise in storytelling and connecting with our loyal viewers.
“Aislin makes a fabulous addition to the afternoon news desk with Queenslanders now getting another opportunity to welcome her into their homes – just a little later in the day – each week.”
Join Aislin Kriukelis for the 9News Queensland 4.00pm bulletin on Mondays and Tuesdays, and wake up with her on TODAY.
