NEW LINE-UP LAUNCHES FROM 16 JANUARY

NEW PROGRAMS, NEW HOSTS AND A PRIMETIME SHAKE-UP

EXCLUSIVE DIGITAL CONTENT, PODCASTS, APPS AND MORE

UNRIVALLED LIVE POLITICAL COVERAGE FROM AUSTRALIA’S BEST JOURNALISTS

In 2023 Australia’s biggest names in news and opinion return, with Sky News Australia unveiling its 2023 program offering, bringing more breaking news, exclusive insights, special investigations, and premium digital-only content to viewers across the country.

From 16 January Sky News Australia’s favourite programs return plus, a new-look weekday primetime schedule starting at 5:00pm with Sharri, hosted by award-winning news-breaking political journalist Sharri Markson who joins the line-up each Monday-Thursday in February to dissect the day’s news.

Popular primetime program Credlin with Peta Credlin returns weeknights at 6:00pm, followed by the unstoppable Andrew Bolt in The Bolt Report each Monday-Thursday at 7:00pm.

Following his success steering the 5:00pm hour, Chris Kenny debuts in the new timeslot of 8:00pm Monday-Thursday with the launch of Chris Kenny Tonight with his unashamedly rational approach to all the top stories. 

Sky News Australia’s longest-running opinion program, Paul Murray Live, returns to its heritage Sunday-Thursday 9:00pm timeslot to fire up debate and talk straight like only Paul Murray can.

New to the primetime schedule in 2023, The Late Debate hosted by new Sky News hosts James Macpherson, Liz Storer and Caleb Bond, kicks off each Monday-Thursday at 10:00pm. This new program brings debate and discussion with passion, and a bit of late-night fun.

Joining the opinion line-up each week, former Queensland Senator and Sky News Contributor Amanda Stoker will host the new discussion program Sunday with Stoker at 7:00pm. She’ll bring conviction and common sense to all the big issues, putting people at the heart of the debate.

Ahead of King Charles III’s coronation in May, Sky News will debut a new weekly program, The Royal Report, hosted by SkyNews.com.au Contributor Caroline Di Russo Sundays at 10:00pm. The Royal headlines just keep on coming, and Caroline will have all the latest information from her team of Royal experts and insiders.

International broadcaster Piers Morgan returns to Sky News Australia in 2023 with lively, thought-provoking debate and agenda-setting interviews in Piers Morgan Uncensored each Tuesday- Friday at 11:00pm.

The award-winning political team return in 2023 to deliver live breaking news and trusted national affairs programs.

Weekdays from 5:30am Peter Stefanovic hosts First Edition for all the news you need to start your day informed, crossing live to the FOX SPORTS News team for the latest sporting highlights and Sky News Weather’s expert meteorologists for extensive forecasts and severe weather updates.

AM Agenda with Laura Jayes at 9:00am brings hard-hitting political interviews and a comprehensive look at the day’s top stories. Coverage continues weekdays from 11:00am with NewsDay as Tom Connell and Ashleigh Gillon deliver the latest breaking news and analysis.

Chief News Anchor Kieran Gilbert and Political Editor Andrew Clennell lead Afternoon Agenda, the program newsmakers watch to get their breaking political news, live from Parliament House, Canberra each weekday from 2:00pm. Then, join the award-winning duo Sundays at 8:00am for Sunday Agenda with a jump-start on the big political issues in the week ahead.

Renowned Australian business and finance expert Ross Greenwood returns to provide comprehensive business and finance news during Business Now, weekdays at 4:30pm and Business Weekend,Sundays at 11:00am.

Ross will profile some of Australia’s most successful and colourful business leaders, in a new series The Secrets of My Successpremiering in early 2023.

The Sky News team will also bring audiences more exclusive blockbuster documentaries and revealing investigations.

National News Consumption Habits revealed in latest Sky News Australia audience study

Following a year of record online audiences, Australia’s most engaging digital news brand will launch a new digital-only program and podcast hosted by Sky News anchor and commentator Rita Panahi. The Rita Panahi Show: Overtime will be available to stream on Flash and as a podcast, with segments reaching all Sky News digital platforms including SkyNews.com.au and Sky News Australia’s YouTube channel. The digital-only program will be available as a podcast each Monday to kick-start the week.

Sky News will further expand its exclusive audio-only offering with the launch of a new podcast by popular Outsiders host Rowan Dean. Rowan Dean’s Outsiderswill be a weekly one-on-one with mavericks and game-changers with provocative opinions, available on your favourite podcasting app.

The new Sky News Australia mobile app will also launch in early 2023 and will see Sky News content delivered in a fresh new way, providing the best experience to read and watch breaking news and opinion content on mobile and tablet devices.

Paul Whittaker, Chief Executive Officer, Sky News Australia said: “As we look to the year ahead, we will continue to bring Australians quality public interest journalism and a diverse range of news, opinion and investigative programming across subscription and free-to-air television, digital, social media, and audio platforms.

“As our audience expects, we will strive to tell all sides of the story and will not shy away from the broad spectrum of viewpoints on any number of issues which impact our nation.”

Across broadcast and digital platforms Sky News has continued to see strong audience growth ending 2022 as the number one non-sport channel on Foxtel; the most-viewed channel on news streaming service Flash and the highest-reaching Australian news brand on social media.

SkyNews.com.au is now one of Australia’s most visited news websites with an average monthly audience of more than 5 million unique visitors. Across regional free-to-air channel Sky News Regional, audiences have grown by +17% year-on-year.
