Scott Pendlebury joins 7NEWS Melbourne – AFL legend to deliver special analysis across footy finals
Australia’s #1 news service today announced that Collingwood great Scott Pendlebury will join 7NEWS Melbourne’s sport team for the remainder of the 2024 AFL Finals series.
In a huge coup for footy fans, the 403-gamer, dual-premiership player and six-time All Australian will use his unrivalled experience to deliver opinions and analysis on what’s shaping as one of the most memorable finals series ever.
Pendlebury will also feature in Seven’s AFL Grand Final coverage on Saturday, 28 September, exclusively live and free on Channel 7 and 7plus with an incredible 12 hours of coverage across the day.
Scott Pendlebury said:
“I am really looking forward to joining the 7NEWS sports team for the AFL’s Preliminary and Grand Final weeks. The month of September is undoubtedly the best period in the AFL calendar.
“We have never seen a tighter competition and there will be a lot to discuss across the three upcoming games.
“To reach ultimate success a lot needs to go in your favour, every moment matters. I can’t wait to see where it lands this season.”
7NEWS Melbourne’s Director of News, Chris Salter, said:
“Scott has got an incredible football brain, and we know our viewers will appreciate his insights. He’s won two flags, a Norm Smith, and was on the podium just 12 months ago – if there’s anyone qualified to talk about September, it’s Pendles.”
Pendlebury will make his debut on 7NEWS Melbourne tonight, live at 6.00pm.
