Raw Comedy 2025 on SBS Viceland and SBS on Demand – Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s RAW Comedy is Australia’s largest and most prestigious open mic competition.
The 2025 final is hosted by Lizzy Hoo – one of the most in demand and hilarious live performers in Australia – with 13 new voices in comedy competing to win the RAW Comedy crown.
The 2025 RAW Comedy national finalists are: Charlotte Kuruc (ACT), Freddie Arthur (VIC), Jay Kelly (NT), Jazz King (SA), Josh Spyro (QLD), Mariah Nickolas (NSW), Martin Darcey (WA), Michael Cho (NSW), Montana Papadinis (VIC), Nadun Hetti (VIC), Nick Starkey (ACT), Peter Josip (VIC) and Scott Lleonart (TAS).
For three decades now, RAW Comedy has unearthed an emerging generation of comedic talent from around the country, boasting an impressive alumni line-up including Anne Edmonds, Ronny Chieng, Tom Ballard, Sam Campbell, Sarah Kendall, Georgie Carroll, Celia Pacquola, Josh Thomas, Hannah Gadsby, Aaron Chen, Rhys Nicholson, Becky Lucas and Joel Creasey, just to name a few.
