Postcards on Channel 9 – Join the Postcards team this week as they dip into a selection of their favourite attractions in Melbourne, at 5.30pm Sunday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Madeline Spark checks into the RACV Cape Schanck Resort on the Mornington Peninsula (Boonwurrung Country). She takes a tour of the five-star property, including a visit to the spa and tasting the menu at the on-site Cape Restaurant. Plus, she checks out Gunnamatta Ocean Beach, one of the most popular surf spots in the area.
Lauren Phillips is joined by her Nova 100 breakfast radio counterpart, Jason Hawkins, for a day out exploring South Melbourne (Boonwurrung & Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country).
They sit down for coffee and brunch at Dead Man Espresso, let off some steam at Lumber Punks Axe Throwing, then enjoy a beer at South Melbourne’s newest rooftop bar, Brewmanity, with co-founder and former Melbourne Football Club captain, David Neitz.
Shaynna Blaze from The Block shows us what happens when Paris comes to Bendigo (Dja Dja Wurrung Country). She visits the Bendigo Art Gallery to check out the exclusive new exhibition, Paris: Impressions of Life 1880-1925, then heads to the Old Green Bean for a bite and a taste of their in-house roasted coffee.
And we find Todd Woodbridge on Lower Johnstone Street, affectionately named “LoJo” by locals, for a retro day out in Abbotsford (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). He drops by Melbourne’s ultra-hip wedding chapel and events space, The Altar Electric, peruses quality secondhand and imported records at Dutch Vinyl, and winds up at the saloon-style bar Lulie Tavern for a game of pool and a beer.
