Brodie Harper checks-in for an airport staycay at the brand new Novotel at Melbourne Airport (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). The precinct features an onsite cafe, Small Holdings, providing a good cup of St Ali coffee, and Boccata Restaurant & Bar who are serving up an Italian inspired dinner. Plus there’s Higher State, Melbourne’s first airport health and wellbeing club. Nearby, she visits Arundel Farm Estate, a boutique family-run winery nestled in the hills of the Keilor Valley.
Kris Smith explores foodie spots along Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country).
Starting off with a sugar hit at The Cookie Box, he then heads up the road to Glenferrie Gourmet Meats to meet owner Josh Neilson and try their famous viral chicken nuggets. After lunch, there are more sweet treats at Joli, which offers Melbourne’s latest healthy dessert sensation, coconut-flavoured jellies.
Madeline Spark visits some cool and quirky spots in Brunswick (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). She starts off with a fun cooking class at Brunswick Kitchen with owner Tracey Lister before making her way to Beinart Gallery where local and international artists exhibit their work. She ends up at Dutch restaurant and bar Mokum, and chats to owner Albert Sikkens over some traditional Dutch dishes.
And we find Shane Delia lapping up some beachside living in Wurtulla on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast (Gubbi Gubbi Country). He checks out the latest Mater Prize Home up for grabs before a stroll along Wurtulla Beach to check out the surf, then it’s coffee time at The Pocket Espresso Bar.
