Roll into the world of women’s skateboarding with the Gold Coast’s Arisa Trew, Australia’s youngest Olympic champion. Arisa shattered expectations with her 720-degree golden spin in Paris, becoming the first Australian woman to win an Olympic medal for skateboarding and a global symbol of empowerment in a male-dominated sport. Her fearless approach and vibrant style are pushing boundaries and redefining what’s possible for women in sports.
Preston and Jayden Campbell share a familial legacy in rugby league, but it’s their work as social change ambassadors that really sets them apart. Preston, who pioneered the Indigenous All Stars NRL concept, influences his community alongside his son and rising Titans star Jayden, through the Preston Campbell Foundation on the Gold Coast. They empower Indigenous youth with programs that foster cultural connection and leadership, encouraging them to embrace their heritage and pursue their dreams.
Avid cyclist Chevonne Arrowsmith channeled her passion for long distance cycling to create the Rail Trail Refuge, a haven for bike riders journeying along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Located in Linville, this stopover offers more than just a place to rest – it’s where riders connect, recharge, and soak in the beauty of the trail. Blending rustic charm with comfort, the Refuge reflects Chevonne’s love of the outdoors and dedication to fostering a sense of community among cyclists.
Finally, we travel to the Sirromet Winery in Mount Cotton, where Nadine Delahunty carries on her family’s winemaking legacy, proving good wine comes out of Queensland. A passionate voice for women in the industry, Nadine is determined to break down barriers and elevate Sirromet as a world-class destination. Her zeal for sustainable practices, hard work and making a top-drop is shaping the winery’s rosy future while honoring its rich roots.
