Dave McEvoy’s skydiving journey began in 1967 when his mother gave him a parachute, hence beginning a lifelong love affair with jumping out of planes. Twelve years later he founded Skydive Ramblers Dropzone in Toogoolawah, which has become one of the world’s top skydiving destinations, as well as the training ground for the world’s fastest woman in the air. With his brother as the chief pilot and his daughter running their national magazine, it’s a full family affair, but for Dave, it’s about community, freedom and feeling most at home while flying through the air.
