Married at First Sight on Channel 9 – “I can’t wait for the Reunion!” It’s what we’ve all been saying since the last episode of Married At First Sight aired.

It’s also what Jonathan said when he was adamant to prove that there was “nothing between” him and Ellie.

Stream every episode of Married At First Sight for free on 9Now.

But as the groom prepares for the Reunion Dinner Party he has a special guest accompanying him. IT’S ELLIE. AND THEY’RE KISSING!

Well Jono, that doesn’t look like “nothing” to us and we don’t think it’ll look that way to ex Lauren either.

MAFS 2024, Sneak Peek
“There’s nothing going on.” Explain this then Jono. (Nine)

Before the Dinner Party

While Ellie and Jono are the only surprise couple, they’re not the only ones who are fronting up to the Reunion together.

Sara and Tim, Tori and Jack, Jade and Ridge and Eden and Jayden have all survived post-experiment.

Will they last when they’re thrown back into the lion’s den? We’ll have to wait and see.

Someone who is gagging to step foot into the chaos that will be the Reunion is Lucinda, who happens to be cosplaying as a “seven-foot disco ball”. ICONIC.

DINNER PARTY DEBRIEFS: Dom and Ella’s explosive reactions as Jono and Ellie confirm their romance

Another bride who isn’t as keen as Lucinda is to move and groove into the Reunion is Tori.

That’s no surprise considering she and Jack copped the criticism of the group the whole way through the experiment.

But with matching buns and exchanging sickly ear nibbles, Tori and Jack are more “secure” than ever. In fact, they’re officially girlfriend and boyfriend. Haters, eat your hearts out.

And nobody is more excited for the Reunion Dinner Party than Collins. Yep, this one’s a major throwback.

You might recall him as the ‘What a day’ guy, or Natalie’s husband. But having never attended a full Dinner Party, Collins is keen as beans to sit through a meal from start to finish.

But we’re not sure anyone is going to get the chance to down a mouthful of food because they’re going to be too busy dropping their jaws over the scandal that is Ellie and Jono’s relationship.

Cocktail Hour

So far it’s a wholesome reunion, Lucinda and Timothy are rekindling their friendship, Tristan is cheersing to ex-wife Cass and Eden and Jayden are speaking of their plans to start a brood.

But like Eden says “this is the calm before the storm”.

Enter the storm, aka Lauren.

But Lauren explains that there will be a different forecast for tonight.

Rather than a full blown Cyclone Lauren there will be clear skies from her front, or so she hopes.

“I’m going to try and keep my cool because if I lose my cool it’s going to become about my reaction not the actual issue,” she tells cameras.

But if there’s one bride we definitely do know that will bring all the thunder and lightning with her it’s Sara.

And while she and Tim are happily together, Jayden says that “there’s more than meets the eye” when it comes to their relationship.

“I heard from Jono that Tim wishes he left Sara at Final Vows,” Jayden divulges to the group, pre Sara and Tim’s entrance.

But as Sara and Tim arrive, Sara has a clear message to send: She and Tim are doing better than ever. THE END.

Not everyone is buying it. “Something is fishy and I need to get to the bottom of it,” Jayden declares.

To no one’s surprise, not everyone is convinced by Tori and Jack’s united entrance.

A couple that everyone does believe is genuine is Jade and John Travolta, sorry Ridge! But you’d forgive us for the confusion given Ridge’s very Saturday Night Fever-esque look.

There’s a few more notable mentions, as our favourite tour guide Ben, Collins and Madeleine’s ex Ash also trotter on in following their short-lived MAFS experiences.

But here it is folks, the grand entrance we’ve all been waiting for.

Drum roll please… IT’S ELLIE AND JONO!

“What the f–k!?” “Oh they’re together?” “That’s wild!” That’s the cross section of reactions to Ellie and Jono’s big debut amid some shrieks, applause and gasps.

WE’RE HERE! (Nine)

The group have mixed feelings, but the experts’ stance is clear.

“Jono lied to us and the whole group,” John Aiken concludes. While Mel Schillings thinks it’s “such a slap in the face for Lauren.”

Wait a minute, we did not match Ellie and Jono. (Nine)

Speaking of Lauren, how’s she handling all of this? “I feel disgusted, I feel sick,” Lauren says.

She’s definitely rattled but she extends Ellie a ‘hello’ that is quickly brushed off and ignored.

“Girl, what? You’ve got my sloppy seconds you can say hi to me. I didn’t have a problem with the girl but now I do, it’s just f–king rude,” Lauren vents to cameras.

MAFS 2024
Lauren’s suspicions are confirmed while Sara is shooketh. (Nine)

Lauren’s bestie – no, not Sara, the other bestie Timothy – is also pretty mad at Jono. “Jono is just as slimy as a snail,” Timothy seethes.

Oh c’mon Timothy, that’s a bit harsh isn’t it? But perhaps it isn’t when we hear what Jono has to say on the whole kind of lying to Lauren about him and Ellie matter.

“Lauren has no right to be upset and if she is I don’t really give a f–k,” Jono scathes.

“Ellie is a beautiful lovely human and Lauren is the opposite of that.” Ouch. Safe to say things will not be civil at the dinner table.

Everyone please remember your knives and forks are for cutting your food ONLY.

Dinner Party

Everyone’s clinking glasses and cheersing to the journey that was, but as the voice of reason Lucinda thinks it’s time to talk about Ellie and Jono.

“Let’s talk about it!” Lucinda dives in. Like we needed another reason to love this woman.

Like rubbing salt into an open wound Ellie giggles: “I’m feeling pretty good because I have Jono. Everyone says I’m glowing and it’s not just the tan.”

MAFS 2024
Jono can’t see his wrongdoing while Lauren is a mess. (Nine)

Jono is cackling and the pair are smooching openly in front of Lauren.

Tori hits the nail on the head when she says it’s all a bit “smug”.

As someone who has been on the receiving end of a lot of questions this season, Jack is finally ready to wear the shoe on the other foot.

Jack has some questions for Ellie and Jono, more specifically the timeline of their relationship and if it did in fact overlap with Jono’s marriage with Lauren.

EXCLUSIVE: Tori and Jack reveal their future plans after their unexpectedly explosive Final Vows

Here’s the timeline according to Ellie and Jono. They texted throughout the experiment as JUST friends. Then one week after Lauren and Jono’s Final Vows Jono called Ellie they spoke for 1.5 hours and then they met up for a coffee that turned into dinner and drinks. And now they’ve been happily together for three weeks.

Timothy sums up how we’re all feeling when he says, “It’s a little but suss.”

Emotions are running high at the table, Lauren is hurt and crying and Jono isn’t buying any of it.

“You are the nastiest person I’ve ever met in my life, you are horrible,” Jono scorns his ex in front of everyone.

Before we even have the time to be shocked by Jono’s coldness, Ben pops up out of nowhere and honestly we’d forgotten he was here for a second.

Ben (Ellie’s experiment ex) says there’s no bad blood between him and Ellie; he just has a problem with Jono for badmouthing him.

Jono doesn’t want to hear it. “Shush your face!” he demands of Ben.

Like a game of ping pong our heads are turning from side to side and down the other end of the table, Sara is questioning Ellie.

MAFS 2024
Sara v Ellie. Not the showdown we saw coming. (Nine)

When Sara calls Ellie and Jono’s timeline “complete bulls–t”, Ellie doesn’t take too nicely to it and snaps back: “Are you f–king serious, I left the experiment in week five you f–king b–ch.”

And my golly gosh, no one was expecting that from Ellie.

“We’ve never seen this side of Ellie she’s coming across as quite insensitive and very confrontational,” experts Mel and Alessandra talk in the observation room.

With Ellie and Jonathan in the firing line for possibly “cheating”, Jono flips the script on Sara reminding her “the only one that cheated on this show was you Sara”.

Jono has a bit more to add on that sledge to Sara: “Tim said he felt he was rushed at Final Vows and if he had more time he would’ve made a different decision.”

Sara takes the bait and quickly turns on Tim. “Did you f–king say that!?” she questions Tim.

Tim admits that in not so many words he did say that. His exact words were “If I had more time I could’ve potentially made a different decision.” Emphasis on the potentially.

Jono’s diversion strategy has worked a treat and no one is talking about him and Ellie, it’s all eyes on Sara and Tim as they bicker down the end of the dinner table.

“Why would you say that to him? WHY!?” Sara asks.

“You’re hiding things from me!”

Tim maintains he isn’t hiding anything. He says the truth is that he and Sara had a “crazy ride” in the experiment, and he needed time to deal with it all.

“I’m saying I didn’t have very much time to process the whole thing so maybe if I had more time to really analyse it  maybe I would’ve made a different decision,” Tim explains.

“But I stuck to my decision and I’m happy with it, we’re in the place we are in now and we’re enjoying each other’s company.”

It doesn’t really look like Sara and Tim are enjoying each other’s company but sure Tim, we love your positivity.

WATCH: A look back at the most awkward moments from MAFS 2024

Tim thinks he has a right to have felt uncertain given his and Sara’s turbulent relationship in the experiment, but Sara is taking that uncertainty to mean that he doesn’t really want to be with her.

“I just feel completely blindsided by Tim,” Sara says.

Then come the waterworks. Sara bursts into tears and storms outside the Dinner Party.

As a dutiful husband, Tim is quick to follow Sara outside but it’s not long before they’re embroiled in another argument.

MAFS 2024 Sara and Tim argue in the Reunion Dinner Party sneak peek.
It’s like Sara and Tim never left. (Nine)

“We were so good and then you go and say that to Jono. Why would you say that? Why?” Sara pleads.

“You say the stupidest s–t Tim. You make it out like it’s all wishy-washy, like things aren’t OK. You do it all the time!

“If you don’t want to be in this relationship don’t f–king be in it!”

Tim returns to the group and he’s not happy with old mate Jono for blabbing his big mouth.

MAFS 2024
Pretty happy with their handiwork here. (Nine)

Jono doesn’t really care and the smug look remains on his face. “That was hilarious,” he giggles to Ellie, seemingly happy with his handiwork.

Despite all the drama and tears, Tim reassures Sara he does want to be with her and she seems to want to work through it. Wow, what a ride.

WATCH: A look back at the biggest blow-ups from MAFS 2024

On that note Lauren sums up the Dinner Party perfectly: “Wow. Would we expect anything less from this group? It’s been an absolute s–t show.”

We hope you’re ready to do it all again at tomorrow night’s Reunion Commitment Ceremony. Get some rest, it’s going to be another big one. See you at 7:30pm tomorrow!
