Married at First Sight on Channel 9 – There’s nothing like a surprise delivery, and the Married At First Sight couples are waking up to one at their door.

“The experts invite you to celebrate the wedding of ? and ?” the OG brides and grooms read, and colour us intrigued by this mystical invite.

Stream every episode of Married At First Sight for free on 9Now.

Grab your hats and confetti, it looks like we’re off to two more weddings!

While we can’t tell you their names just yet, what we can tell you is that one participant is unlike any you’ve ever seen before.

Another is one that… well, you’ve definitely seen before.

Michael and Stephen’s Wedding

We’re starting off with a familiar face. You remember Michael?

The 34-year-old entered the experiment with high hopes, but those hopes were smashed when his match Simon withdrew from the experiment 48 hours after the Bucks Night

But the experts worked overtime to find Michael a new husband, and we’re going to go ahead and say that the experts have done a 10 out of 10 job on this one.

With his Tarzan-meets-Aquaman good looks, Stephen is certainly easy on the eyes. But beyond his dashing looks the 26-year-old is hoping to meet someone just as family-orientated as he is.

When Michael hears during Stephen’s vows that he is one of eight children, it’s music to his ears and he thinks it’s a “match made in heaven”.

Michael and Stephen’s chemistry is electric and the attraction is obvious. But just as everything is seeming too good to be true, one of Michael’s wedding guests accidentally lets something slip to Stephen.

“Well, you’ve met the baby mamas…” one wedding guest says.

“What!?” replies Stephen, having no idea what she’s talking about.

Sorry, what!? (Nine)

The wedding guest is hoping the ground will swallow her whole as she tries to backtrack, but it’s too late. Now, Stephen is keen to find out what this whole “baby mama” comment is really about.

Here’s hoping that someone’s loose lips don’t sink Michael and Stephen’s ship.

When Stephen brings up the ‘baby mama’ comment with Michael, Michael explains that he was a sperm donor to two of his good friends. For Stephen it speaks volumes of Michael’s character.

“The fact that he’s given this gift to his friends so that they can start their family and he’s selflessly stepped back and let that unfold, I love that,” Stephen glows.

“It takes a pretty special person to do that and he ticks a huge huge box.”

But there’s another bombshell that Stephen doesn’t take so well.

When Michael explains to Stephen that he was previously matched in the experiment, Stephen’s heart sinks.

“Instantly I felt sick, I just felt like this is not a genuine match then,” Stephen vents to cameras.

“This is just a really last minute slap dash ‘you’ll do’ and that is a huge red flag.”

Stephen feels like he’s simply the understudy for Michael’s real match.

Whether or not Stephen will be able to get past the feeling of being second fiddle, only time will tell.

Madeleine and Ash’s Wedding

As one of the most unique participants in the experiment, Madeleine, 30, brings with her a gift – she’s a psychic medium.

“I audibly hear things and get psychic downloads from my guides,” Madeleine explains the extent of her abilities.

But as someone who discovered her gift later in life, Madeleine admits that being a psychic medium has been isolating and has changed her in relationships.

And so Madeleine is looking for someone kind-hearted that will accept her for who she is.

Sweet and softly-spoken Ash, 33, is about as kind as they get.

He has stepped in to help raise younger brothers who are still in school and after losing his older brother two years ago, Ash understands the importance of family more than anyone.

Madeleine’s sister Teagan is nervous about those who might not believe in her sister’s talents, and if she’s trying to weed out the skeptics she need not look any further than our own OG bride Tori who is also a guest at the wedding.

“I don’t believe in that, like at all,” Tori doubles down.

Meanwhile Madeleine is hoping that her sensitivity and theatrics “don’t scare [her husband] away”.

Well, we don’t see Ash do a runner during the ceremony but we think there’s a good chance he was considering it.

Madeleine’s first words to Ash are, “I love you”. And even though everyone likes to hear that, we think it could be a little too soon.

She follows up with this introduction: “I am Madeleine, I am 30, I’m really deep and weird and strange.”  Well, at least she warned him.

Then she tells Ash she’s a medium. “Do you know what a medium is?” Madeleine asks.

Ash does, but OG bride Lauren doesn’t and she confuses it with the clothing size. “Girl, you are at least an extra small,” Lauren says before she’s corrected.

Madeleine’s vows are a MAFS first, and she completely wings them. It’s a ballsy move, and we’re absolutely here for it.

Her vows are quite the journey so we’re going to share just some of the highlights.

She starts by warning Ash that she’s “annoying”, then seconds later she bursts into tears and drops another ‘I love you,’ before screaming “SHUT UP” – at herself.

Ash is in for a wild ride, but he’s happy to be holding on. (Nine)

While her off the cuff vows get a few funny looks from the crowd, they do impress husband Ash.

“Her vows just came from the heart and that’s amazing,” he beams.

While Ash is feeling on top of the world about his new bride, Madeleine is getting a psychic download. She’s sensing “bad vibes” and the ominous signs have really put a damper on Madeleine’s day.

But the bad vibes completely dissipate when Ash shares a story about how he couldn’t sleep the night before because there’s a chance his house is haunted.

Madeleine is elated that Ash is “aware” of the energy around him and it’s a massive tick for her.

While Madeleine and Ash are finally feeling connected, Cassandra and Tristan – who are guests at the wedding – are more disconnected than ever.

DINNER PARTY DEBRIEF 2: Dom and Ella fire up over Ben’s brutal words to his wife

After Tristan chose to sleep on the couch the night before, Cassandra is more confused than ever. “Is he repulsed by me, is he not into me. It’s weird between us,” she huffs.

And of course there’s no better place to bring up your relationship issues than when you’re sitting at ‘Table 8’ at a wedding of people you’ve never met before.

Frustrated by the lack of intimacy, Cassandra says she’s “bored” and Tristan takes the comment very personally.

The couple get into a back and forth about effort and intimacy and they simply just aren’t seeing eye-to-eye.

It ends in Cassandra running to the bathroom in tears.

We need something to liven the mood around here and Madeleine’s wedding speech couldn’t come at a better time.

“I’M SO READY TO PARTY. I LOVE YOU ALL AND LOVE CONQUERS ALL AND BRING THE POSITIVE VIBES!” Madeleine screams into the microphone like she’s at a rave. Who needs the Eras tour when you have Madeleine on the microphone?

MAFS 2024
LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED! (Nine)

And the party continues tomorrow night as our very last couple tie the knot!

We’ll see you there at 7:30pm.

Married At First Sight continues Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now. Catch up on every episode of MAFS for free on 9Now.
