Postcards on Channel 9 – Join the Postcards team this week as they revisit some of their favourite attractions in Melbourne, at 5.30pm Sunday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Madeline Spark is in Hillside and Taylors Lakes (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country) where she checks out milk bar-turned-cafe Baked Since 95 and the authentic Thai restaurant, Chur Thai.
Brodie Harper gives viewers a tour through the popular Titanic: The Artefact Exhibition at the Melbourne Museum (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). Brodie also takes a wander through Carlton Gardens, and a tour of the Royal Exhibition Building to learn more about its extraordinary history.
Meanwhile, Shane Delia is in Flemington (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country) for a look at the famous racecourse and an exclusive tour from Victoria Racing Club CEO, Steve Rosich. Back on Racecourse Road, Shane unearths some flavoursome East African cuisine at New Somali Kitchen and sits down with chef Abdo Sean for a feast. He wraps up the afternoon with a pint of Guinness at Melbourne’s best Irish pub, The Quiet Man.
And Kris Smith shows us through the BBC Earth Experience exhibition at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). But first he heads to South Wharf to grab a bite at The Boatbuilders Yard.
