My Way on Channel 9 Queensland and 9Now S10E6 – This week My Way presents uplifting deeds of leadership and legacy that are resonating with communities across Queensland, Sunday at 5.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Father and son team Preston and Jayden Campbell share a shining background in rugby league. But it’s their work as social change ambassadors that really sets them apart. Preston, who pioneered the Indigenous All Stars NRL concept, influences his community alongside rising Titans star and son, Jayden, through the Preston Campbell Foundation on the Gold Coast. They’re empowering indigenous youth with programs that connect culture and well-being and drive them on to follow their dreams.
Nadine Delahunty is continuing the forward momentum at Sirromet Winery in Mount Cotton and proving good wine can come out of Queensland.
A passionate voice for women in the wine industry, Nadine is determined to break down barriers and elevate Sirromet, as a world-class destination. Her zeal for sustainable practices, hard work and making a top-drop is shaping the winery’s rosy future while honoring its rich roots.
Josh Alder is carrying on the family-founded eco-tour business Australian Sunset Safaris in South-East Queensland. He grew up imbued by nature and developed a lasting connection to the Great Barrier Reef, Moreton Island and K’gari. Today Josh gives his customers cherished experiences that showcase the stunning beauty of these three regions via his immersive eco-tourism adventures.
And we meet IT consultant and pottery instructor Mitra Mirsaeian, founder of the Mitra Ceramic House. Her passion for pottery and ceramics began with her father’s teaching in Iran, and now combines as a cultural connection as well as a break from her busy life. Mitra has honed her skills to create a communal space in Brisbane for artists of all levels to express themselves and find their own sense of balance. She encourages her students to experiment and embrace their creative ideas without fear of making mistakes.
Tune into My Way to see just what these luminaries are giving back to their communities, this Sunday at 5.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
