Shaun Tan’s Tales from Outer Suburbia on ABC Family and ABC iview S1E5 – Klara, Pim and Lucy are feeling disconnected and out of place, but they’re all forced to find a new way of looking at the world, when a mysterious, tiny houseguest comes to stay.
In an effort to make ends meet, Lucy announces they’re taking in a boarder. When the boarder arrives, Pim and Lucy are surprised – Eric is a tiny little leaf man.
He opts to sleep in the pantry, which he transforms into a bedroom, and obsesses over small objects – bottle lids, lolly wrappers and small plastic blocks.
Eric shows Klara that great art doesn’t have to be about vast landscapes – sometimes tiny details are just as beautiful.
