Tonight | Shakespeare and Hathaway on ABC TV – The oddly-matched Stratford-upon-Avon-based sleuths return for more picturesque and whimsical mysteries brimming with wit and rural charm.
Local boat hire entrepreneur, Jonathan Skylark (Jamie Glover), approaches Frank (Mark Benton) and Lu (Jo Joyner) to investigate the death of his wife Ophelia (Rosalind Halstead), an Ex-Miss Stratford-upon-Avon party girl who apparently drowned at her 40th birthday party.
Frank and Lu begin scoping out those linked to Skylark’s Boat Hire and Frank meets Antonio (Ben Cura), an employee who Ophelia was romantically linked to as well as Jonathan’s business partner Finty (Sasha Behar) and Callum (Barnaby Taylor) his son.
Meanwhile, Lu tracks down Vanessa-Rose (Tamla Kari) the official photographer for Ophelia’s birthday – but they all seem to know more than they’re letting on.
Frank begins looking at historic drowning cases for inspiration. Can the PIs use the past to inform the present and reveal what really happened to Ophelia?
