Queen of Oz on ABC – At an official dinner, Georgie (Catherine Tate) fails miserably in an attempt drum up business for Australia, leading to scathing criticism from the media and the public.
While dealing with the fall out, Georgie is also stressed out by all the talk of wedding plans, and to top it off, the PM has arrived for their weekly meeting.
At her wits end, Georgie has to get away, and since she can’t drive, she makes Marc (Rob Collins) drive her. Frustrated because there isn’t any time to set up advanced security, Marc ends up driving Georgie to the one place he knows she won’t be spotted, his family’s empty beach house.
However, when Marc and Georgie enter, they find themselves in the middle of a surprise birthday party. Georgie is immediately uncomfortable and wants to bolt, but Marc convinces her to just stay ten minutes. But those ten minutes turn into hours as Georgie begins to enjoy spending time with Marc and his family.
Back at Macquarie House, Georgie’s staff takes advantage of her absence with a party of their own. By the time Georgie and Marc return she has even more to think about before her fast-approaching wedding.
