In the Grand Final of Portrait Artist of the Year, three outstanding artists each have four hours to paint a portrait of adored comedy icon Denise Scott AM, each drawing on their unique approach to artmaking.
As Denise shares personal stories and a treasured collection of wartime letters, the artists strive to capture her spirit and history.
The judges select a winner, who receives a life-changing commission to paint chef Kylie Kwong, to hang in the National Portrait Gallery of Australia.
