This heat features nine artists – five professional and four armatures from across the country: top-selling artist Alina Zorkina, art student Ilana Lapid, illustrator Ben Brown, live wedding painter Zac Hampson, National Art School graduate Emmaleen Diaz, professional artist Vayu, 18-year-old student Benedict Widjaja, self-taught artist Darren Wells, and his wife, illustrator Amanda Oei Wells.
The sitters are comedian Rhys Nicholson, chef Adam Liaw, and radio/TV host Myf Warhurst. The artists use various techniques and mediums, showcasing their creativity and skill. The judges select a top three, with one artist advancing to the semi-final.
