Martin Clunes Islands of America on ABC – Martin’s travels around America’s islands take him from north to south.
Starting in the mostly uninhabited San Juan islands in Washington State, near the border with Canada, Martin heads to the Channel Islands National Park in California, known as ‘America’s Galapagos’ because of its unique wildlife.
Martin then journeys to Avery Island in the Gulf of Mexico, and visits a salt dome that is best known as the home of Tabasco sauce. Here, Martin witnesses the impact of climate change, where local communities are being washed away by sea levels that are rising at an alarming rate.
