Joanna Lumley’s epic adventure along the mighty river Danube comes to an end in beautiful Romania. Starting at the vast Iron Gates gorge on the border with Serbia, Joanna travels right across the country from west to east including an unforgettable encounter with Europe’s most powerful witches. .
The highlight of this final leg and perhaps the whole journey is an expedition by houseboat into the vast wilderness of the Danube Delta.
In the dead of night, Joanna comes face to face with another of the Delta’s iconic species, before she finally reaches the Black Sea coast. Here, after 1800 miles, is the mouth of the Danube and the end of Joanna’s epic adventure along Europe’s Mightiest River.
