Tennessee surprises at every turn – complex dam systems created in the 1930s created a hydropower system the envy of the world, but also helped forge the atomic bomb.
Then, Nashville, the home of music, does not disappoint – a swinging band on every corner and a chance meeting with World Bootskootin’ champion (a Welshman – who knew!) cements the country music capital as a solid rival to Las Vegas.
