Bay of Fires on ABC TV –Robin (Yael Stone), a public servant, is sent to Mystery Bay to investigate suspicious government payouts to people in town. But when she tries to locate the people listed in the file, she is left with more questions than answers.
Stella (Marta Dusseldorp), Otis (Imi Mbedla) and Iris (Ava Caryofllis) attend an uncomfortable dinner at Frankie’s (Kerry Fox) and meet her gang of adopted children. Frankie tries to get more information around why the family has come to Mystery Bay and grows increasingly suspicious of Stella.
Otis and Iris start attending the local school where Otis finds himself increasingly drawn to Elysha (Mackenzie Grant).
Stella and Jeremiah (Toby Leonard Moore) get further acquainted when he gives her a lift home from town. She also meets his father, Joseph (Tony Barry), and learns about his brother Billy. Stella persists in trying to get out of Mystery Bay and sends Airini (Rachel House) the USB that Kumar (Nikhil Singh) had left her in the hopes of it giving some much needed answers.
