When perfect mother Jess rushes her baby to A&E, she’s surprised to find that the doctor on duty is Liz, a close friend from antenatal classes.
Liz is alarmed by Betsey’s injury, and Jess’ vague explanation.
When the CT scan confirms her fears, a tormented Liz alerts Social Services.
Jess keeps her husband, Ed, in the dark, forcing him to host their son’s birthday party. Events come to a dramatic head when Police and Social Services descend.
