One thing the couple were resolute about was not bothering the bank by asking for a mortgage. They were determined to pay for everything from their savings and their earnings.
But with the farming economy tightening and building costs exploding, coupled with their main income stream, the quarry, coming to the end of its working life, this enterprising and industrious couple find they have to dig deeper than they ever imagined to keep their passion project alive.
