Architectural designer Andrew Simpson and civil servant Krysty Peebles are building their forever home in Waikanae. The house will be constructed of rammed earth with the cheapness of the material offset by the slowness of the build.
Andrew seems content to let construction take as long as it takes and continue working in his quiet thoughtful manner but, as months, turn into years, turn into more years, there are serious questions being asked about when – if ever – this house will be finished.
